March is just around the corner

I can’t believe the time is flying by!  We are experiencing much warmer than normal weather and it is helping our business except when it rains. :)

Recently had a meeting with our staff on new design for our Truck and Shirts.  They will look great and hope this gives us a chance to re-brand ourselves as the Mobile Bistro that specialize on Pan Asian & Pan American Cuisine. :)   We will keep you in the loop as we see progression on the works.

Korean Style BBQ : Chef Tai’s Mobile Bistro Style

Korean Style BBQ : Chef Tai’s Mobile Bistro Style

4 Pounds Beef Short Rib ¼ inch thickness

6 cups water 2 cups soy sauce

1 cup sugar

½ cup pineapple juice

3 tsp garlic, chopped

1 tso black pepper

¼ cup rice wine if you would like

¼ cup sesame seed oil

2 Onion

1 Oragne

10 Green Onion

Rinse the Beef in Cold Water and let it sit in the cold water for about 1 hour inside the cooler to remove some blood or the fluid within the meat and of course bone particle if it has bones. Combine the rest of ingredients for the sauce. Drain the beef from the water and combine with the sauce. Let it marinade for at least one day. It can be stored in the cooler for up to 3 days. Cook the steak to Medium temperature and serve with Rice, but flat bread and tortilla works well, too.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas to all of our friends out there!  We have a lot to be thankful for this year and it was all made possible with your help!  Thank you so much!!!

WINTER WEATHER HAS ARRIVED….

It is officially cold out there.  We are definitely seeing some LOYAL Followers who are braving the weather and still come see us. I thank you!

We will start adjusting our operational calendar during this winter season.  If we see a FREEZE in the forecast, we will not be heading out because our water tank will freeze and without water, I won’t run the Food Truck.  It is also quite miserable to be out there for all of us. :)

I may also have to adjust our hours of operation once the Winter Break Starts.

Just be sure to check out our facebook page and twitter page for the up to the minute update on our status.

CATERING TIME….

Wow…Holiday Season is really starting to push us to the next level….we had to shift to the higher gear just to keep up with the demand.  We have Wedding Catering, Holiday Event, Corporate Gathering, Corporate Luncheon, and Happy Hour Party, and much more…..demand has sure jumped up compare to last year thanks to Food Network and Awesome People giving us the title, “America’s Favorite Food Truck” ! :)   Thank you all and we will keep on pushing! Happy Holiday!

Can’t believe it has been 4 weeks since we found out that we are America’s FAVE!

Time does fly fast….it has been 4 weeks since Chef Tai’s Mobile Bistro was named America’s Favorite Food Truck!  Lots of media coverage and attention from all over America definitely kept me busy and in this tough economy, you can’t buy enough positive publicity!

I have so many thank you to say still as I am constantly running into people out in the street, market, at the restaurant who are congratulating me for the win.  But I rather congratulate YOU!  YOU all did this for us and YOU got us into the National Spot Light!  It does make my shoulder a bit heavier as I have more expectations to live up to.  We are now watched under more critical eyes but I know that is what we will have to manage to bring ourselves to the next level.

Still can’t thank enough to all of our friends and fans who have brought us up to this level.

Thank you.

America’s Favorite Food Truck…so far…

Well, 12 days after our journey began as 200 plus food trucks compete for the spot on Season 3 of Food Network’s Great Food Truck Race, we are sitting pretty on Poll Position.  We still have 16 more days to go and it is far from over…but I must tip my hat to our local residents who have friends all over this country have pulled together to bring us to the top of the chart.  Now that school is back in session in the Aggieland, all we need is the student body, their parents, and rest of the Aggie Nation all across America to start voting.

In case you were wondering where to go for this voting, please visit : http://foodtrucks.teamdigital.com/?t=394

Thank you and as our Chicago friends say ” Vote Early & Vote Often” You have 10 votes to cast everyday. :)

Running for the Food Network’s Great Food Truck Race

I can’t believe this but we are running 3rd in Nation on voting….that’s pretty crazy!!!  I simply feel overwhelmed with the support we have been receiving.  There are so many good people out there excited for someone’s passion and chance of being in the national spot representing their home town and alma mater.  Thank you all for your help!  Let’s go win!

Fall Semester is almost here

Weather doesn’t agree that it is Fall Semester at Texas A&M, but it is about to happen!  Welcome back to College Station Aggies!  Come and try only Aggie owned and operated Gourmet Food Truck in BCS area!  WHOOP!

STILL VERY HOT and SUMMER IS NOT EVEN OVER…

I think it was June when I posted a complaint that it is too dang hot and guess what, situation has gotten worse as Texas is going through one of the most brutal summer with 30 plus days of 100F degree.  There is one upside to this…I no longer have to keep the Hamburger Buns in the warming drawer to keep it warm before I toast…I just have the buns resting on our overhead shelf and it is nice and toasty at 140F….

Thankfully our loyalists are still supporting our business even when the asphalts are nice and gooey on their feet.  Thank you…really….you guys are amazing!

Can’t wait for the cool weather to return when everyone can enjoy the breeze and sun on their face while waiting for our delish food….
